Willis Wood Designs is a two-person operation. Lloyd sources materials and builds things. Windy provides expert style advice and assists with social media marketing. After years of DIY home improvement projects, we started designing, building, and selling boat cleat coat racks, accent shelves, and sunglass racks in January 2015.

Why cleats and reclaimed wood? We grew up in coastal North Carolina, and that is where our hearts remain. Weathered wood is nearly as universal a part of the coastal experience as sand and salt water, and galvanized dock cleats are emblematic of the stark beauty and working class origins of the place we still think of as home.

Working with these materials keeps us connected to our roots, and sharing our products with our customers sends the spirit of our beach town into each of their homes.
